Maryland Webcams

Maryland is a state in the Mid-Atlantic region of the US. It borders Virginia, Delaware, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and District of Columbia. It is a densely populated state ranking 19th in total population and 5th in the population density among all the US States. The state was conceived and formed way back on 28th April 1788, becoming the 7th US state of the time. Annapolis is the state capital, while Baltimore is the one having highest population. The name of the state has been associated with Queen Henrietta Maria and the place has also earned several nicknames such as the Free State, Old line State and America in Miniature. It is one of the smallest US states by total area. Despite its high population density, the state is the cleanest, greenest and the most environment friendly of all the states. The state is considered a hub for research and development of life sciences and biotechnology.
